Children’s Allergies

About Allergies in Children

Many families have been dealing with their children’s allergies for a long time. It is very common for children to have allergies to many things as allergies have been the top ranking chronic illness in children which may take effect in different forms such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, and eczema as well as gastro-intestinal allergies they may be experiencing.
The symptoms of children’s allergies may vary in response to the particular allergen which may be affecting the child.
Some of the more common children’s allergy symptoms may include having a runny nose, sneezing, coughing, congestion, nausea in addition to red or rashy skin alongside itchiness and swelling.
Many children also may experience difficulty in breathing due to asthma and the narrowing of their throat leading to a more difficult time swallowing.
In addition to these allergy symptoms, many children may experience symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea.
Be aware that these symptoms could indicate celiac disease, or an intollerance to gluten.
Although it always depends on the individual child’s body in order to determine ways in which to help prevent certain allergic reactions, there are ways in which one may be able to prevent such occurrences in a general sense including feeding the child with more organic foods which contain no chemicals and only all-natural ingredients in addition to breast feeding your child in their infancy. Breastfeeding your baby has shown evidence of helping strengthen the child’s immune system early on in life.
Many other allergies may be caused by things polluting the air or dust. It would be a good idea for anyone to keep away from longtime exposure to harmful chemicals and pollutants in the air or near your child.
If there are individuals who are suffering from contagious diseases, it would be best to simply keep them away from those who may infect them early on which may also bring on certain allergies as well in addition to keeping them clear of any cigarette smoke at all in order to help them develop a strong immune system.
Some more specific ways to help boost your child’s immune systems and help reduce your children’s allergies would be through a regular diet rich in omega 3 fatty acids from fish oil supplements as well as feeding them fruits and vegetables regularly. Namely, fruits and vegetables high in anti-oxidants such as oranges, broccoli, apples and more. These fruits and vegetables are high in vitamins such as vitamin C and vitamin E which all provide excellent antioxidant qualities which will help your children’s allergies as well as keep your child healthy early on in life to help give them an excellent start in life overall.
